2015 Retrospect

It’s been almost a year since I started this website and my first stumbling steps into blogging. Thank you for reading!

It was a scary thing to start to put something so private into the public domain, but it has been a good experience so far, and I’m determined to promote and share my art even more this year so please keep checking in.

Having looked at the stats the WordPress number crunchers have provided, it seems that my ‘Motherhood‘ painting has been the most viewed and commented on, and ‘Have Paint Will Travel‘ my most widely read blog post. The later was largely thanks to signal boosts by a popular and talented friend (thanks G!) and my lovely husband – they both linked through Twitter which helped enormously. The popularity of the Motherhood painting is possibly due to the fact that the subject matter invites comment. It is probably the truest to my style that I painted last year, and I am hugely grateful to everyone who took the time to look, comment or message me about it.

Lots of exciting new paintings and projects planned for 2016 and hopefully a new space to paint in too, so please keep reading, commenting and enjoying my art.

Gem x
