Restoration Celebration!

Hello Friends,

I hope that this email finds you well and keeping safe in these rough gales - we've had a section of our fence blown down, but are not attempting to fix it until the strong winds have passed! Despite the cold weather and frequent storms, its a time of celebration, and whether that's Hanukkah, the Solstice, Christmas or Yule, I hope you enjoy good food and good company throughout the season.

Pictured above is yours truly holding one of the 17 nativity figures that I have been gradually restoring over the course of the year. I told you they were big! It's been an absolute pleasure to restore them and I have even received a further restoration commission as a result of it!

I've decided to add a restoration section to my website in the hope that I may get more such commissions in the future. You can check out the page HERE  I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of statues or objects I may be contacted about - I might end up repainting some animals, an Angel, or even a Buddah or Ganesh!

Whats' On My Easel...

I am very much on the homeward stretch now with the 13 Moon series. I am currently finishing off the Snow Moon which will be for February, and have yet to make much progress on January's Wolf Moon and March's Worm Moon. Once thee final 3 are completed, they will be professionally photographed and I will drive them to Haverfordwest to be framed and processed for the upcoming exhibition in Haverfordwest town centre. They will then be available to buy on the gallery website, as well as the exhibition itself. Here is what the Snow Moon currently looks like:

What's Next...

Currently 7 of my paintings are being exhibited at the Nolton Art Gallery in Bridgend, along with lots of wonderful local artists and will be there for a few more weeks into the New Year. Next year will see me creating my very first art calendar! It will be for 2025 and feature all 13 Moon paintings. I'm also planning on dipping my toes into promoting my art on Pinterest, making many more paintings, exhibiting the 13 Moons in Haverfordwest and hopefully selling lots more artwork! :)
And Finally...

If you have any suggestions of things you'd like to see more of in my newsletters and questions about my art then feel free to drop me a line.
Until then, have a blessed winter festival of your choice, and I wish you all a peaceful, healthy and prosperous 2024.

Gemma
